Well after 3 years of thinking about it and training my time to swim to France is nearly here! Here’s my latest update and tracking info.
… Sea swimming gives you that sense of freedom that can’t be found anywhere else. Maybe mountaineering would get close but I don’t like heights. In fact a fear of heights and a fear of drowning means sea level it is for me!

The alarm went off. It was 5:30am. It was a Saturday. Most people’s alarms don’t do that. Most people don’t set their alarms at all at the weekend. Anyone with half an ounce of sense is doing their best to stay asleep before they have to confront the day ahead, hopefully with a well deserved hangover.
